Orlando Florida USA November 9th 2009—Vr Technology enjoys the best DEMA show ever!
If the dive industry is suffering from the slow economy, you certainly could not tell it by standing at the VR Technology booth during last week’s show.
The VR staff fielded non-stop questions and inquiries regarding everything from, “how does a rebreather work?” to more technically challenging questions concerning the world’s first in-loop gaseous CO2 sensing system, found in the Sentinel rebreather.
The scientists, navies and certification agency directors of the world are in search of tools to help them accomplish their underwater goals— and these are the very people who crowded the booth for 4 consecutive days. In a post show interview VR Technology founder Kevin Gurr was quoted as saying,” I have never talked to more naval personel, doctors, and scientists, in one show, ever before.”
On the backs of a new US Service Center, the launch of the industry’s best warranty and repair program, and new products releases including; Sentinel Expedition with the CO2X system, iSec, and the NheO Dive computer, it wasn’t all just for the PH.D’s. The VR Technology dealers were extremely excited about the coming year. The positive energy at the booth was contagious and VR established more new dealers and sold more products to existing dealers at the show than any previous DEMA.
VR PRESS RELEASE
The economy is not slow for VR Technology at DEMA 2009.
Movie and film producers were also in attendance. Not only will VR Technology products appear in several movie productions and TV shows this year, but will be used as tools to shoot the actual movies/shows. There will even be episodes airing that will feature VR representatives training cast members on the Sentinel LSS.
VR Technology Marketing Director Jeff Gourley summed it all up,”This is no overnight success story. It took years of hard work, years of educating, sticking to our principles, not taking the easy path, that is what is paying off now—we have achieved critical mass.”
